We’re excited to announce our newest team members! Welcome to the team Alex, Alessandro, and Amanda!
Alex Kiehl
Alex Kiehl is an architectural designer with a specific interest in historic preservation. She studied both design and preservation at Temple University and then at the University of Virginia for her graduate degree. Teaching is a passion of Alex’s as she continues to stay connected to the classroom and teach preservation courses at Temple University. When she is not working or teaching, she likes traveling to new cities, reading, gardening, and thrifting. You will often find her and her friends at new restaurants all over Philadelphia on the weekends. When she isn’t exploring new cities, she likes to explore her own.
Alessandro Mirra
Alessandro Mirra is currently working towards his bachelor’s degree in architecture at Drexel University and aspires to become an established architect. Architecture has always been an ambition of his from a young age. It has transformed the person he is today and how the world is perceived through his perspective, noticing that architecture influences the nature of the world. When it comes to architecture, Alessandro focuses on the details and more so how the emotions of a person may start to allow for a sense of interaction within the design. When he is not occupied with his studies and professional work experiences, he is a full-time dog dad. Alessandro enjoys traveling to new places, especially with the crew if the opportunity is present. Being outdoors is very important to him and he looks to go on adventurous hikes all around. You will also always see him embarking on home improvement tasks and putting his DIY skills to the test. He will also justify any reason to grab a cup of coffee.
Amanda Neely
Amanda Neely joins BHA as a project architect. Over the course of her career, she has worked on a wide variety of projects – including everything from classroom renovations to large mixed-use developments. She graduated from the University of Arkansas (Go Hogs) with a Bachelor of Architecture. She relocated to Philadelphia in 2016 and has since become a devout Sixers fan. Amanda and her husband love to travel and plan a lot of trips around their dog, Indiana. All her remaining free time is dedicated to renovating her 125-year-old home and working in her garden.
