In a project to elevate the patient experience, BH redesigned key areas at Underwood Hospital to improve functionality and comfort. By relocating changing rooms closer to patient holding areas, the team enhanced organizational flow and privacy. Thoughtful design elements, such as soft colors, warm lighting, and textured walls, created a calming environment for patients preparing for surgery.
The waiting room was expanded, enriched with vibrant color, wood accents, and new windows for natural light. A family consultation room was added for private discussions, while a former ICU waiting area transformed into a bright internet café for visitors and staff. These upgrades combine modern functionality with inviting aesthetics, ensuring every space serves its purpose effectively.
