Located in a dense urban neighborhood between a busy street and a cemetery, the original 20,000 SF, two-story, building presented a challenging project site. Today, with BHA’s creative input, the former structure has been transformed into a beautiful 140,000 SF campus and an outstanding learning environment where young minds are inspired to achieve.

The school’s semi-circular shape transformed an urban street into a courtyard, while careful placement of glass-lined corridors and classrooms allowed students to enjoy the views of greenery wherever they traveled in the building. Each classroom creates a unique learning environment of a small-learning community, thus encouraging teamwork and inspiring collaborative projects.The Feltonville Academy of Arts & Sciences won the American Architects (AIA), PA award for Architectural Excellence.
